Honoring Our Past
The Tallahassee Police Historical Foundation was founded in 2022 by retired TPD members to honor the brave people who devoted their lives to upholding justice, safety, and security within the Tallahassee community. It is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to collecting police memorabilia, historical artifacts, and personal mementos that tell the story of how Tallahassee's Police Department has grown and changed throughout the years.
Working Toward Tomorrow
TPHF works to create exhibits that foster positive relationships with the community and highlight the diverse functions of the Tallahassee Police Department since it was formed in 1826. Our latest project is a 1,200 square feet museum in the new police station. This museum will preserve the past, honor exceptional service, and help us all look forward to a safer and brighter future for our city.
Your Help Matters
We need help from the community to raise funds for the museum and add more memorabilia to each exhibit. If you have photos, artifacts, uniforms, articles, accessories, reports, or old documents you would like to donate or loan for display, please contact us. We truly appreciate your generosity and would love to share the stories you hold dear with future generations.
Projects & Goals
Your generous donation makes it possible for TPHF to honor law enforcement employees who served the Tallahassee community. Your involvement helps us reach the following goals:
- Maintaining and preserving archival collections
- Improvements and new exhibit installations
- Supporting educational and research initiatives
- Web hosting & developing online virtual museum
- General operating expenses (not salaries)
- Development of computerized inventory system
- Funding special exhibitions and programs
- Purchase and restoration of historic police vehicles
